Every memory helps complete the picture.

Tell us about the Talman Street clubhouse, a Society leader, a family celebration, music, food, a festival, a tradition, or the moment you first felt part of the community.

Your submission goes privately to the Society for review. It will never appear automatically. A story is only published after you give permission and the Society approves it, and your email address always remains private.

A Bag of Chips and a Lifetime of Belonging

ome of my earliest memories are simple ones. My father would spend time at the club while my mother visited families on Talman Street. My sisters and I would sit quietly in a corner, listening to the adults and the music. If we behaved ourselves, we might be rewarded with a potato chip.

Thanksgiving at the Santiago Society

Every Thanksgiving, we would all gather as a family to share a Thanksgiving meal on Talman Street. It was the time we all gathered, shared stories, laughed, and enjoyed culture and music together.
